TRAINER PROFILES

 

Adele Aboutok

Certified Pilates Instructor, Adele, has been a student of movement all her life, beginning as a child when she learned to jitterbug from her mother. Later she took on the challenge of Russian ballet studying with Veron Kozak Bowles in Newfoundland, NJ, a professional dancer and student of Anatole Vilzak.

Even as Adele went to college and pursued a career in business, she continued to dance and teach horseback riding. After her company closed its doors, Adele decided to turn her passion for movement into a new career.

She began studying Pilates in 2001 and was admitted to the Romana's Pilates Instructor Training Program in New York City. Adele learned from Pilates elder Romana Kryzanowski and her daughter, Sari Mejia Santo for a year and a half. After 800 hours of training, Adele earned her certification for the full Pilates repertoire on both mat and apparatus.

Adele strives to enhance each client's body awareness and ability to stand tall, straight and strong through Pilates movement. It's her goal to help as many people as possible work, play and enjoy life to its fullest.

 
 

 Matt Bansch

Matt is an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer with over six years of individual and group personal training experience.  He has his Bachelors of Science in Business Management from Montclair State University and has attended numerous courses and certification workshops in both wellness and leadership.  As full-time director of a YMCA/YWCA wellness center, Matt lives and breathes wellness and is blessed to help make a difference in the lives of others every day.

Matt is a huge believer of incorporating wellness into  one's overall lifestyle - not just those few hours a week you spend at the Wellness Center!  At different stages of his life, Matt has successfully lost weight, become lean and healthy, gained weight (for strength and muscle mass) and vastly improved his flexibility, long distance running and athletic capabilities.  He tries his best to provide his clients with the most effective, safe and fun workouts that are designed with a long term, healthy lifestyle in mind.

Fitness is Matt's passion.  Personal training is his outlet!

 
Timienne Fauci

Timienne comes to The Wellness Center from way up in the upper Pennisula of Michigan.  She graduated from Lake Superior State University in Michigan with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Exercise Science and an Associate Degree in Health & Fitness.  Timienne's certifications include Health/Fitness Specialist through the American College of Sports Medicine, and First Aide & CPR/AED certification through the American Red Cross.  Prior to joining us, Timienne worked in a fitness & medical  center, a physical therapy clinic and in corporate wellness. 

Among her many excellent qualities, Timienne has a skill for targeting a client's workouts to make them most effective, enjoyable and energizing!
 
Charlotte Carey

Charlotte has been a Licensed Physical Therapist for over 40 years,  a personal trainer at the Metrowest Jewish Community Center for the past 11 years and an Athletic Trainer at a local community college for 3 years.

Charlotte's exercises are a compilation of all her years of experience in physical therapy and fitness and her method of personal training is a combination of strength, balance, coordination, endurance and flexibility.  She combines physical therapy techniques with Pilates, Feldenkrais, yoga and dance for an eclectic approach.

Charlotte has worked with all age groups and extensively with the senior population.  In addition, she has worked with clients with a wide array of physical conditions.  Her specialized training includes, but is not limited to, orthopedics, arthritis, amputees, athletics, gait training, neurology as well as general conditioning. 

Charlotte works to ensure her clients understand how one's posture, not only during exercise, but throughout the day, is related to optimal health.

Charlotte's motto is "If you look good, you feel good; if you feel good, other people will feel good about you."
 
Kevin Daly

Kevin earned his B.A. in Health and Exercise with a concentration in Health Promotion and Fitness Management from Rowan University.  He is an ACSM Health Fitness Instructor and an ACE Certified Personal Trainer specializing in Functional Training, Balance Training, and Circuit Training. He has worked in both community and corporate fitness settings and enjoys working with a variety of people and fitness goals. He grew up in Denville, NJ and has a wide range of interests including football, wrestling, baseball, weight lifting, travel, history and reading. Kevin's fitness philosophy is that a good workout will take a form that follows the function of the individual's needs and goals.
 
Bob Lee

Bob, our General Manager, is also a certified Professional Fitness Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and an active member of IDEA Health and Fitness Association. He has had extensive experience in many areas of fitness since his childhood including swimming, baseball and basketball. After having a career of over twenty years in the customs brokerage and international freight forwarding industry, Bob decided to make a career change in 2003 to further his passion for coaching others to achieve optimal fitness.

Bob specializes in training those who are either just beginning an exercise program or searching for a compassionate trainer who can help them rehabilitate from an illness and want to take control of their health. Bob's clients include those who have  arthritis, diabetes, cardiac disease or weight issues, to name a few. Bob's philosophy emphasizes that for those whose main goal is to achieve optimum health and weight management, they must be firmly committed to regular exercise which should include strength training along with consistent cardiovascular activity. Bob also enjoys his own regular fitness regiment, playing piano and spending time at home with his wife, Lori Lee and their children.
 
Patti Panasik

Patti has a B.A. in Art Education and is currently studying Exercise Science and Physical Education at Montclair University. She is an ACE certified World Instructor and is certified in CPR. She has taken continuous courses in Group Strength Training, ACE's Guide to Exercise & Weight Control, Stability Ball Training, and Water Aerobics. In addition, Patti is certifed in Fibromyalgia, Exercise for Older Adults, Post-Orthopedic Rehabilitation and Sport Core Conditioning.  Patti has been a Certified Personal Trainer since 2001. She enjoys running and weight training.

Patti's personable and enthusiastic approach combined with a positive attitude and results orientated training has resulted in her retaining an extensive client list over the years. Patti goes the extra mile for her clients; whether it's listening to your needs and providing the appropriate educational handout, flexing her schedule to accommodate yours to get a training session in, or bringing you a get well card, she is there for you 100%.
 

Stan Patiro

Stan graduated from William Paterson University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science. During his school years, Stan was an all around athlete playing such sports as baseball, basketball, hockey, volleyball, football and most recently bodybuilding. His latest bodybuilding competition was back in 2008 where he placed 3rd in the Super Heavyweight class at the NPC New York Metropolitan Bodybuilding Show. When he is not getting ready for competition, Stan enjoys the outdoors by partaking in hunting, fishing, camping and hiking. In his previous work experience, Stan was involved in the sports nutrition industry where he helped prescribe specific sports nutrition products and other wellness products to the clientele he worked with.

Stan truly offers a wide range of specialties. Stan has worked with professional and collegiate athletes helping them prepare for their upcoming seasons. In addition to working with high profile athletes, Stan also has experience in working with many age groups: from young adults to senior citizens to help them achieve their goals. He truly loves helping others and always has a very optimistic approach each and every day.

 
Susan Siegmund

Sue is a Registered Nurse with The American College of Sports Medicine Certifications in Health and Fitness and Cancer Exercise Trainer. She is also a Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse Specialist, having worked a clinical setting for 20 years before going into Private Practice 10 years ago. Sue’s unique expertise is working with patients with medical issues such as cardiac rehabilitation, stroke, diabetes, cancer and orthopedic problems. Her focus in training at risk patients with medical issues is to safely help facilitate them to their maximum health and fitness potential.  Patient’s individual risk factors are routinely identified and addressed as a part of each patient’s health and wellness plan. She is experienced in acting as a collaborating advisor working closely with her patient’s physicians.

Ten years ago, Sue went from a hospital based clinical setting to develop a community based exercise program in Primary and Secondary Cardiac Prevention. As Program Coordinator, she developed a clinically safe environment for those with medical issues to safely exercise under her supervision. Working with the Regional Diabetes Center at Saint Clare’s, Dover General Hospital, she was part of the development and management of an exercise and educational program for diabetics in a community setting. Sue has recently developed and implemented a Cancer Survivor Exercise Program with Saint Clare’s Hospital’s Cancer Care Center. She is currently American Heart Association Certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Her past experiences include American Heart Association CPR Trainer at Dover General Hospital. She served on the American Heart Association Planning Board for the Western Morris County Annual Heart Walk Fundraiser. She is an active member of the American College of Sports medicine.
 
Sherry Stoner

Sherry is an American Council on Exercise (ACE) Personal Trainer.  She continues her education through ACE and specializes in flexibility and fitness, core strength & toning, and pre-and post-natal fitness.  She is also certified to work with special populations and has a special interest along with 3 years experience in working hands on and developing fitness programs for special needs teens.

Sherry has 7 years in the fitness business and understands the busy client's need for a results oriented workout.  Her training philosophy is a core total body toning & endurance program which creates a fun, upbeat, goal reaching workout.  She believes as a trainer, her job is to keep clients motivated by providing them with the tools and exercise coaching necessary to achieve their fitness goals.
